Pineapple Chilli Cheese Toast

This pan-toasted sandwich combines the smoky sweetness of pineapple with the kick of chilli, the freshness of basil and lettuce, and the creamy richness of cheeses, all held together in crusty sourdough for a perfectly balanced gourmet treat.

INGREDIENTS

– 1 Medium sliced pineapple
– 1 Tablespoon red chilli flakes
– Salt to taste
– 1/4 Cup fresh Basil leaves
– Oil
– 1 Tablespoon dried herbs
– 1 Tablespoon Pickled red chilly
– Cream Cheese
– ⁠Sourdough Bread 2 Slices
– ⁠Shredded Romaine lettuce
– Grated yellow cheddar cheese

METHOD OF PREPERATION

Start by preparing all the ingredients: sliced pineapple, red chilli flakes, salt, fresh basil leaves, oil, dried herbs, pickled red chilli, cream cheese, sourdough bread, shredded romaine lettuce, and grated yellow cheddar cheese. Heat a little oil in a pan and grill the pineapple slices until caramelized and lightly charred, then season with salt, chilli flakes, and dried herbs. In the same pan, toast the sourdough bread slices until golden and crisp, then spread a generous layer of cream cheese over them. Layer with shredded romaine lettuce, the spiced grilled pineapple, pickled red chilli, and fresh basil leaves, then top with grated cheddar cheese. Serve immediately and enjoy the fresh, sweet, spicy, and cheesy burst of flavours in every bite.
