Peri Peri Paneer Kaarage with Smith & Jones Peri Peri Masala

Try this Peri Peri Paneer for a burst of bold, spicy flavour with a satisfyingly crispy bite. Soft paneer meets zesty seasoning and a touch of freshness from lemon and herbs, making it an irresistible snack or appetizer.

INGREDIENTS

– 200g paneer, cut into 5mm cubes
– 2 sachets S&J Peri Peri Masala
– ¼ cup tempura flour
– 2 tbsp corn flour
– 2 tbsp spring onions, chopped
– 1 lemon, juiced
– 2 tbsp mayonnaise for dipping
– 1 tsp coriander, chopped
– 1 tsp black and white sesame seeds
– ⅓ cup oil for frying
– Salt to taste

METHOD OF PREPERATION

Cut small cubes of 5mm each of paneer and keep aside.
Mix the tempura flour, coriander, salt, 1 sachet of the peri peri masala and a little water to make a fluffy batter.
Mix the paneer into the batter and keep aside for marination for 15 minutes.
In hot oil, fry the battered paneer and make sure to get 1-inch “pakoda” like kaarage shapes. Fry till crispy and golden brown.
Sprinkle S&J peri peri masala onto the kaarage, garnish with chopped spring onions and eat with a squeeze of lime and mayo.
